The Community Board joins the activities of the European Sports Week of the Higher Sports Council, which is held from September 23 to 30 and will be based on a photographic and video content through social networks. Given the times of pandemic, this initiative becomes virtual.
The regional government will expand this programming with seven activities in collaboration with Liberbank. All this with the aim of “encouraging and promoting physical activity, sports, and healthy lifestyle habits”, as highlighted by the general director of Youth and Sports, Noelia Pérez. In this sense, she understands that “we live in a time when we have to be more active than ever to be physically and mentally well.”
As for the European Week of Sport in Castilla-La Mancha, the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports is going to schedule five telematic presentations and two intervention activities for educational centers, federations, or town councils. With regard to the latter, they will be the Local Active Mobility Strategy for Educational Centers, for which they will receive a guide and a kit that will include an explanatory poster and video. The second will be ‘# ActiveHacking-we play on the street’, which will be launched on the 25th, European School Sports Day, and will last until October 29: “It consists of adapting urban spaces to sports practice”; This initiative will have a prize for the three centers with the best proposals: 1,000 euros in sports equipment for the winner,
The aforementioned talks will be broadcast in the morning through the social networks of the Sports Portal. These talks will consist of nutritional recommendations and guidelines for the development of the daily physical activity.
