Sofía Fernández is proclaimed champion of Spain alevín

The young tennis player from the Los Alcores Tennis School beat Carlota García 6-4 and 6-1 in the final of this tournament, held in El Prat de Llobregat

The young tennis player from the Los Alcores Tennis School Sofía Fernández has been officially proclaimed Champion of Spain in the Alevín Category by beating Carlota García in the final by scoring 6-4 6-1. The Sánchez-Casal Academy in Barcelona has hosted the Spanish Alevín Championship, in a delivery that was attended by Stefan Ortega, Director of the Academy; Coque Pérez, Director of Sponsorship ASC; Óscar Mas, FCAT Sports Director, and Javier Soler, RFET Sports Director. Manuel Páez in the men’s category was the just winner by winning the final over Valentín González-Galiño 6-2 6-2, in a tournament that had all the anti-COVID prudence rules. Sofía’s path to reach the final has been as follows: In the first round she defeats Daniela Fernández 6-1 / 5-7 / 6-2; In second to Carla Vázquez for 4-6 / 6-2 / 6-3; In the next one, she beat Celia Ansón 6-1 / 6-2 and in the Semifinals Isabel García Torra 6-2 / 6-0. In the final, as we have mentioned, she defeats Carlota García Alonso, officially proclaiming herself the Spanish Alevín champion. It is the first time that a champion of Spain can be enjoyed in our land. The young player, although licensed by Madrid to play the League in teams, has been training at Club Los Alcores since its inception with her teacher Bene Tapetado. Her meteoric career promises a future without limits or barriers only determined by her enormous talent.
