Internazionale has pretty much missed the chance to regain the lead in Serie A. The team of Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries lost 0-2 to Sassuolo at home. With a win, the Nerazzurri would have taken over the first place from arch-rival and fellow city rival AC Milan.
Inter started without top scorer Edin Dzeko and with Dumfries on the bench. De Vrij did have a basic place again, despite the fact that the defender has been under fire in Italy lately.
Furthermore, there was little difference with the team that coped well with Liverpool for a long time in the Champions League last Wednesday but lost: 0-2
With the same numbers was now lost to Sassuolo. In the final phase, De Vrij seemed to score the connecting goal, but the goal was rejected because of hands in the run-up to the goal of the Dutch defender.
