Last Thursday Drumfanfare Altesa gave away performance in De Zilk, to usher in the anniversary year. In the coming year, the association will organize various activities to celebrate this crown year. Altera has been rehearsing on Thursday evenings for many years. On Thursday 10 February, however, the rehearsal was exchanged for a performance in De Zilk.
This is to celebrate the happy fact that Altesa was founded exactly 50 years earlier. After the performance… toasted with members and invited guests in De Duinpan, Altera’s home base.
Should you hear and see Altesa in the near future, take a look at the bass drum or the canvas on the sousaphone. The new logo can be admired here, in the recognizable red-white-black colors.
